Just this morning..I was so looking frwd to tmr's outing to Tiger Brewery..But got a colleague kept pestering to let him go..So I let him go lor..My small team bonding will be change to the month of Jan 2010..But cos of this outing..our Manager was very pissed..She was pissed cos no one seek her approval on this matter..
Actually I can understand what was she angry but it was her response which turned me off..In the 1st place..I tot it was by default that which date the team leader arrange..we all have to follow suit..Besides..I did told my senior but she din inform me that I need to inform my Manager as well..I also din tot of it cos I feel I just need to inform my immediate reporting officer..In anw..I also dun talk to my Manager one..So everything was arranged and my colleague who wanted to exchange with me went to ask her for approval for us to exchange..And she got to know about this outing..
If I were her..being the manager..I was only informed 1 day before the event..most prob I also will be pissed..But also must be matured to handle the situation ma..She is so childish till she wrote an email to all of her team member saying that we must be really free cos it seems to her that we can go off anytime we want..And since no one seek her for approval..frm today's onwards..she will just mind her own work stuff and if we have anything..beta dun ask her for help..I was like =.="" Abit childish leh..Who will respect her as Manager..Seriously speaking..I think being woman, thou I am one too..most of us cant handle big event..We tend to put too much emotion into the situation and cant think rationally..Hence..I super admire those woman who can be so rational and matured and I am moving towards that direction..*Tryin hard la*..
In any case..the finance team is spilt into 3 teams..and actually all the team leaders CMI one..so doesnt make a big diff as to which team I am in..Haha..I just want to learn as much as I can and in 2-3 yrs time..I want to move into SIA!

Wow..really glad to be working in MOM..Welfare is really good..LOL..But if colleagues are more friendly it would be great..Actually things are beta now..have to smile smile lor and ignore if the girls are unfriendly..
Anw why I said that MOM is good in welfare because:
1. Remember I was involved in ushering for SQA? This morning, I opened the email and saw this mail from my Deputy Director -> DCP (FYI - Director of Corporate Planning [My Dept] ) has agreed to grant 1/2 day time off to those who helped out as ushers during the SQA exercise. Once again, thanks for your help and do clear with your respective ROs when you take the time off.
Haha..just like that also got half day..not bad rite?
2. This Friday..we have small group team bonding activity. Small group means for the whole dept..we are spilt into smaller group (12 groups in total)..Then each group is allocated 1 month to have the small team building..And my group is allocated to July and we are going for lunch @1pm and then proceed to Tiger Brewery, home of Tiger Beer @ Tuas..LOL..like school time going for Excursion..And best of all..everything is paid by MOM..
Lastly..next Mon..we are having whole dept team bonding..As a welcome party for newcomers [including me!] and also farewell for another who is leaving to another dept..Lunch will be @
Haebok's Korean Restaurant [@ Furama] followed by Cup cake baking @ Creative Culinaire Cooking and Baking School.
Programme packed till next Mon..no need work hw can say welfare no good?? LOL..

Yesterday..we met Egg & Shao Teng @ Bugis to buy the deco for Xiao Nat's bday..1 to-do thing is down..Left name list and to order for catering and cake..We have decided on the cake and caterer so we are more or less done..Getting quite lazy..LOL
After buying..we started thinking what to have for dinner..Then I suggested Laksa beside the OG..then they suggested that we should go Katong for laksa..So from Bugis..we walked to Plaza by the park to take bus no.14..Reached..ate and went to Kim Choo to buy kueh kueh..Must say the kuehs are very nice..And then the headache came..We do not have bus to go back from there and Xiao Nat needs to drink milk at 830pm and the time then was 730pm..So we had to take bus to Bedok to change to bus no.24 to reach home..But by the time we reached AMK..Xiao Nat most prob fainted from hunger..LOL..So we alighted near Macpherson and took a cab after seeing the time is 8.05pm [If we had taken the cab before 8pm..there will be 35% surcharge..bo hua mahz..] What a hassle to go all the way to Katong to have laksa ending up we have to change here change there to reach home..=.="" No choice la..who ask us to be so 馋嘴..LOL
Attended the last chalet for the month today..En En's 2nd bday..Reached there very late..so paiseh..haha..but late beta than nv reach rite?LOL..Chit chat awhile then we also left cos Xiao Nat also very tired..Sighz..after we left then realised that we din take any photo with the bday girl.. =.=" Anw..we wana wish En En happy 2nd bday again..Going be a jie jie already..haha!
Back to work tmr..Again..it is Mon..sianz...Nites!

Been pretty busy at work recently..which I like..LOL..
Since Monday..we have assessors from SPRING to assess MOM..we are aiming for the Singapore Quality Award..So proud to be MOMers..and finally today is the last day..I was asked to usher people around and I must said that I felt redundant..Those people should knew their ways in MOM cos they are MOMers as well..They dunno their way meh??Zzz..Anw thru this..I got to know other colleagues from other dept so I took it as an opportunity to work with other MOMers..So it was not that bad..
Because of this SQA thingy..my work started to pile up..Kept havin briefing and my senior is also involved in the SQA causing us to have difficulties to discuss about work..And just 1 week before the SQA started..she suddenly threw so much work to me..No time to explain to me the procedures and now my email flood like siao cos all the work is now arrow to me..Hope there is no invoices due for payment if not kana late payment then I will be famous for setting record to have late payment..In MOM..they asked for zero late payment..
Now..I only hope to faster learn the ropes and fully take over the dept I am in charge of..I find difficulties working with my senior cos when she wanted to explain something to me..she will tell me long long story and just make me confused with her insequence steps to do things..
But overall..I still like workin in MOM..I like the work pace and the chances to work with other dept..to be involved in events and of cos the benefits here..

Attended the 2nd chalet of the month on 11th..my Ah Yi's 50th bday..But luv got work duty..Zzz..So I went with Xiao Nat..my grandparents and my 2 grandaunts..
It was a surprise party by her hubby and daughter..We all hid when we knew she was on her way..When she arrived she was so shocked to see all of us there..The nite before..we had dinner together..and she kept sayin us very good at keeping secret..We still kept mum when we had dinner the nite before..LOL..But can see that she was very surprised and happy..

Last nite..at arnd 10+pm..someone knocked on our door..We saw a lady standin outside asking to do a survey..Normally we dun entertain such survey..somemore it is so late already..But we do not know why..this time..we just made it an exception..We even invited her in and gave her a packet of drink..She asked alot of questions on the pampers we used for Xiao Nat..Whole survey took us like 20mins?? LOL..ask until I so sianz..
In the end..we got to know that the survey was done by Mommy Poko..At the end of question..she took her bag and we both tot she wanted give us samples of pampers..In the end..she gave us a $10 NTUC voucher..and her own personal $2 Old Chang Kee voucher..She kept thanking us for being so nice to take her survey if not she cant complete her work..
Haha..after she left..we both laughed and din expect that for nth..we got a $10 voucher..But we also quite pity her la..do survey until so late..Then she kept thanking us and thou we felt sianz during the survey..at the end of the day..we are proud that we helped someone and to our surprise..we still gained a blessing! LOL
